3 classic denim styles to have
I really don’t tell people there are specific things they need, because I think everything depends on what looks good on your body and then your style.
But, for the ladies who like jeans, these are the few styles I would say you should have in your wardrobe. Are there other great options? Absolutely! But for those who want some guidance, want to keep things simple or maybe are new to jean shopping, these are for you. I think if you only picked 3 pairs of jeans, these would be the 3 to get.
With the exception of 1 of the 3 styles, these are just the styles I'm listing. Meaning you can have different washes, different textures, different weights of denim.
The last pair is very specifically the style and the wash. Because it makes the look.
1. The day-to-day
This is the casual yet effortless style that goes with all your casual clothes. You can throw them on all year long. They’ll fit great and always pair back to your favorites!
A slimmer, straight leg
Not tight, but fitted
Not Lowrise, but mid to high rise
This will be your day-to-day pair, so it can be a light, medium or dark wash
This can hit at the ankle or a little longer to touch the shoe
2. The Elevated
This isn’t quite a dressed up jean, but you can wear it when you wanna feel a notch above “I’m just out running errands.” A little more elevated for a lunch or coffee date to feel the fun of getting “dressed up.”
Slightly loose fitting, straight leg
Relaxed or simply not tight in the seat/booty area
Whatever rise best suits you
Any wash, but a solid clean wash
No distressing
Long inseam to hang over shoes, heels or boots
3. The Evening
This is your fancy jean. The one you could wear in place of trousers or black pants to make your professional or fancy outfit feel a little cooler then the same old top with dress slacks. But the clean, dark wash lends to a very formal look.

Can be a slightly wider leg, or even a little flare
Mid to high rise
Key being the denim is a completely dark wash
No big stitching or colored stitching
No fades
No tears
