5 Tips to help You Clean Out Your Closet

1. It helps to have all your laundry done, so nothing sneaks up on you.

2. You can go section by section, so you don’t create a mess, get overwhelmed or run out of time.

3. Go through section by section and create piles of try-on’s, toss, keep, donate, etc. And then you can handle the piles each at a separate time. It can be a lot to do in one day/one sitting. You can do all the sorting in one day. And then come back and do try-on’s. Then spend another day sorting the donations.

4. When doing try-on’s, make sure you’re a little put together. It helps you get a feel for what this item really looks like. I like to go category by category. If I’m doing tops, I’ll put on a neutral bra and some of my favorite jeans. That way if the top doesn’t look good with those bottoms, I can usually assume it’s the top and not that I just don’t know what to do with it.

5. The last thing I do is organize because I want to see what I actually have left. Sometimes you get rid of enough things and you can shift your whole closet around.

Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll see you next week.

Best,

Tami Sofia
