Are you going to be a wedding guest this year?

Do you have several weddings coming up?

Here are some of my tips!

This doesn’t have to break the bank for you. I know going to weddings can be expensive, especially when you have a bunch lined up back to back!

Some General Rules:

Listen to the dress code. This is someone’s special day.

You are going to be in photos and represent their event for the rest of their lives. Dress accordingly. It’s not just about you.

Some things that don’t belong at weddings:

  • Sandals

  • Shorts

  • Beach cover-ups posing as dresses (I see you, and please stop). Unless the wedding is actually at the beach, in which case, I’ll say ok to the sandals .. but that’s about it. I stand by that.

  • Ladies - don’t wear white, or off-white, or anything close. I know it seems like a given. But it’s not. It needs to be said. If you’re uncertain if it’s too close, the answer is probably yes.

Ladies -

You can get a simple solid dress (or 2, depending on how many events you have) and style them up with different shoes, bags, belts, jewelry, hair makeup.

You can borrow dresses from other friends.

You can rent dresses!

You can get 2-pieces and mix and match things.

You can thrift dresses. (I do it all the time!)

Gentlemen -

Custom Suiting!!! I can’t stress this enough. Getting a custom suit that you can wear to all your events. (Message me if you need help with this. I work with a custom men’s suiting company and LOVE their products.)

Then you can have an assortment of shirts, ties, shoes, socks, belts.

You can get away with wearing the same suit for so many events. Especially when it’s high quality and fits you perfectly!

People remember HOW you look and show up more than exactly what you were wearing. This goes for my ladies too! 😉

You can also thrift! Especially when it comes to dress shirts and ties. It’s so easy!

Best,

Tami Sofia

✌🏽❤️ 🙂
