How to Wear White After Labor Day
To me, this is one of those stupid “fashion rules” that never made sense. Maybe it’s because I lived in southern California my whole life, but in terms of fashion, it’s completely unnecessary. So here are 3 outfits using some of my favorite pieces to keep your white around after Labor Day ...
Try a Neutral Palette
OUTFIT #1
Wear something mixed with white, like this tan & white striped sweater. The sweater itself is a fall staple of mine. But mixing it with some white pants and tan shoes, keeps things classy, but still Fall appropriate.
OUTFIT #2:
Going for a tonal look, head to toe. Everything is white except my jacket which is cream. The outfit clearly looks like a fall outfit, but it’s basically all white. I think the textured cream jacket really helps pull everything together.
OUTFIT #3:
This is also a quintessential Fall look for me. Obviously the jacket is the key item here. But I'm wearing white boots over a white slip dress (which I love to wear in the Spring and Summer). But pairing this dress with boots, even white ones and then adding a plaid jacket, or even a solid textured jacket, makes this a great Fall outfit.
Hope this gives you some ideas of how to wear your white pieces all year long.
Ciao for now,
