3 Outdated Styles

(that were never great in the first place)

1. The 3 quarter sleeve blazer

✦ First of all, I love blazers! Cropped, fitted, oversized. I think they can be a staple in anyone’s wardrobe.

✦ So let’s not get it twisted.

✦ But a 3 quarter sleeve feels outdated and juvenile.

✦ You wanna feel polished, stylish, edgy, whatever, but not juvenile or outdated.

2. Long blouses (especially peasant blouses)

✦ This long baggy blouse is just something we are all drowning in.

✦ It’s not flattering, even if you’re trying to cover up a little tummy.

✦ It’s definitely dated.

✦ I would opt for a blouse that you can tuck in.

✦ If you don’t wanna tuck it because you’re worried about the tummy area, I would get something you can leave untucked, but don’t let it go over your hips. That’s where we start drowning and really doing our shape a disservice.

3. Skinny jeans with an ankle boot that cuts off the ankle

✦ I still love my skinny jeans! And I love my ankle boots!

✦ BUT when you combine these 2 we need to be mindful.

✦ Let’s not let the boot be something that’s just above our ankle and cutting off our leg.

✦ AND that the jeans aren’t so tight on the leg that they’re cutting into our ankles and leaving that sliver of skin that’s getting pinched. Or that super stretchy skinny jean that you have to fold a bit, because the ankle gapes, but the rest of the leg is so tight.

✦ If you wanna do the tight skinny jean, opt for a low ankle boot.

✦ Or if you wanna do the boots that sit above the ankle, opt for a straight

leg jean or a wide leg jean that even comes over the boot.

Have any questions? Let me hear them!

Thanks for tuning in and I’ll see you next week. ✨

Best,

Tami
