3 staple Jackets for every style
Denim Jacket
An oversized denim jacket is one of my go-to jackets.
Blue, black, white denim. Any neutral color will work. Even though I prefer a shade of blue. But whatever fits your wardrobe best.
An easy piece to throw on top of most outfits.
Makes things look a little cooler, gives you a layer for cooler days, and can take any dress into a breezy “I just threw this on” type of look.
Black Jacket
Some people argue this needs to be a black leather jacket. Which can work! There are so many styles for that. Motorcycle Jacket, Utility Jacket, Bomber Jacket, Flight Jacket, a leather Blazer.
All of those can work, just depending on your style.
But a classic black blazer or a Bomber, all not in leather would also work.
There’s just something about a black jacket that can elevate a very casual outfit.
Kind of the exact opposite of the denim jacket.
A neutral Casual Jacket
For this one I lean towards a bomber or quilted jacket style.
Could be oversized or a more fitted option.
I like olive green or khaki, but whatever color works for your wardrobe.
I would just stick to neutral earthy tones.
Dressy Jacket
This can be a variety of styles.
A furry coat.
A sparkly little bed jacket.
Whatever works with your style.
But something designated for dressy outfits.
This often gets overlooked.
If you think about your more formal events you’ll probably often feel like you don’t have something special to wear. That’s where this piece comes in.
Hope you found this helpful. See you guys next week!
Best,
