3 truths about getting dressed for your day
1. You feel a sense of purpose – it signals your brain that you’re moving on to the next thing for the day. Your pajamas were for sleeping. Now we’re moving to the next thing.
2. You are more “ready” to do things. Hop on a call. Go out to meet someone. Even send an email. It’s an energy. You’ll just find yourself to be more productive.
3. You snap into your role. I say this all the time about putting on my leggings and instantly feeling 90% more ready to go workout. (PS, I have a rule I only wear leggings for workouts or maybe roadtrips. Because I know all my clothes hold an energy.) So getting dressed for work, whatever that may be for you, will put you in that state of mind a lot faster than sitting in your jammies. It’s a sense of ownership.
BONUS: You’ll just feel better about yourself. Which really is the catalyst for everything positive in our lives.
