Color Analysis
And why I think most people aren’t good at it.
It’s in the details... again.
I know, I always harp on the details. But it’s the truth.
I often tell my clients, there’s lots of shopping you can do on your own, and then there will always be things you’ll have questions on.
Whether it’s a unique style and/or new silhouette you want to try. Maybe it’s a fabric you’ve never worn.
Brown can be one of your colors, but in the wrong materials, they might not translate the same.
So we have to be careful to understand all the parts of knowing your colors.
This is why I think you need to work with a stylist for specific things. Colors are one of them.
This is somewhere I think some stylists lack the depth of knowledge when it comes to helping you pick your colors.
I don’t even really like the traditional color palette tests that tell you you’re in a specific category of colors like “warm autumn”. I still think there are outlier colors that work for you that aren’t listed in that palette.
So, when I tell you colors you should wear, I don’t run those traditional tests. I go about it in a different way.
The swatches are helpful to give you a baseline.. But all the swatches are often on a dull cotton fabric, almost like a bed sheet material. I’m gonna guess that’s not a fabric you wear often lol.
Anyway, you get my point.
If you’re interested in your specific colors, schedule a consult call and we can talk about it.
Ciao for now xoxo
