Myths about Hiring a Personal Stylist
1. You need to be a celebrity.
I have not one current client that is a celebrity.
It’s not about just getting dressed for Galas or events, it’s about feeling good in your skin and your clothes for life. All day, everyday.
2. We only shop for “expensive,” designer, luxury brands.
If you know me, my favorite place to shop is a thrift store. It’s always about the quality over names or prices.
Shopping second hand you can absolutely find lots and lots of designer brands, if that’s your jam. So it’s not off the table. Just not the focus.
I shop for you to have a wardrobe of things that make you look and feel amazing.
Shopping second hand has so many positives for me, less waste, finding unique pieces, great prices.
If you want a closet full of designer brands only, I can absolutely find you a closet full of Chloe, Channel, Missoni, etc. They will all be fabulous pieces. They can be from last season or the 80’s.
Anything is possible when shopping second hand.
3. You have to have your closet organized, know your style, be the perfect size, etc.
Part of the work is helping you get all these things together.
I almost always start every client with a closet clean out or at least walk through your favorite items just to get a feel for you.
We will go over your style aspiration and nail that down, together.
And I believe everyone is a work in progress. Maybe you wanna lose 10 pounds, maybe you wanna gain 10 pounds. We can work on your style, now, and work towards things for your future goals.
